Adjunct in Kurdish language
The title of this research (Adjunct in Kurdish language) it’s an attempt to identify Optional elements (Adjunct)
in Kurdish language, according to Transformational Generative Theory, specifically Transformational rules,
because Transformational Generative Theory selects sentence element and Adjuncts include those elements that
Unnecessary in sentence component. In this research element adjuncts in the frame Noun phrase and Verb phrase,
Selected by relying on information Syntactic and Semantic. Because it can be looked at in two different directions
on (Adjunct), That’s the meaning (Semantic) and Syntactic side, on the semantic side which means the task of
giving more information to the head noun phrase or the occurrence of the action. Also on the Syntactic side such
as the syntactic function the task of expanding it phrase and sentence component. In this study, except Abstract
and results and references, all this is presented in two themes
The first theme is devoted to a theoretical orientation to adjunct. The second theme is dedicated to (Adjunct in
Kurdish language). To identify unnecessary category in the Adjunct task, it discusses these topics (the adjunct
term, adjunct concepts and definitions, the adjunct and noun phrase, the adjunct and verb phrase, features of
adjunct).
