Abstract

This research is conducted on historical and descriptive methods conducted in a scientific manner. The content
of this research consists of several topics: European classical music forms are also discussed, such as strophic
form, Binary form, Turner form, Rondo form, Sonata form. The second chapter is the forms and types of songs in
Kurdish music, which includes the following sections: Kurdish folk songs, which have two main types, weighted
and weightless songs (free rhythm).Hayran, Lauk, Qattar, Siyachemana, Allaweisi. The third chapter discusses
the characteristics of composed songs and their types are presented, which are two main categories: Art songs and
Pop songs. The aim of this research is to introduce the forms and types of Kurdish songs, including composed
songs
