Ali Ghiyath al-Din al-Naqshbandi al-Bamarni, one of the active Kurdish intellectuals and journalists. Ali was
influenced by his father, Sheikh Ghiyath al-Din, Sheikh Takiya, who commanded him culturally, humanly, socially
and intellectually, but in a different way from the Sufi way by following the path of journalism, associations and
modernity.
He rendered a great service to the Bahdinan press and dialect through the page (Himmahrahing / Bahrprhhk
ze Zaravamen) in Hawkari newspaper, as the press in Bahdinan lagged behind the rest of the regions of southern
Kurdistan with the Sorani dialect press, and the page was one of the stages of the beginnings of the Bahdinian
press.
The page started with the supervision and editing of Ali al-Naqshbandi, and it was a big and important
thing for the people of Bahdinan, because there were no newspapers in the Bahdinian dialect at that time, and it
attracted writers and intellectuals in Bahdinan to write on it. Ali published about 255 articles, most of them with
fictitious names or without a name, in addition to his work in editing and supervising the page. On the articles of
other writers, and his articles in Hawkari newspaper varied between political, cultural and historical, but most
are short storie.
