Abstract

Black colour is the source of all other colours, and it is one of the most effective colours on human life. It is widely used in human related stuffs such as houses, furniture, clothes, cars, cutleries, tools as well as in almost all healthcare-related stuffs such as hospital buildings, physicians and nurses’ dresses, bedcovers, curtains, medical tools, etc. Thus, the importance of the colour ‘Black’ is the main reason behind conducting this study. This study  which is titled ‘The indication of Black colour as a sample in modern Kurdish poetry’ consists of an introductory section, three sections, concluding points and the list of used references. The first section is devoted to consider positive indications of Black colour in modern Kurdish poetry, and the second section gains insight into the negative indications of this colour in modern Kurdish poetry. This study ends with the most concluding points that have been derived throughout this study, and with the list of the used references in this article. This study tries to comprehensively consider the way that the colour ‘Black’ is used by modern Kurdish poets.
