Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

• The journal of the Kurdish Academyis a periodical which publishes academic research dealing with issues related to Kurds and Kurdistan on condition that the submitted research has neither been published previously nor accepted for publication in any other journal.
• The languages of publication in the journal are Kurdish& Arabic, but the journal will also accept papersand studies on Kurds and Kurdistan written in other languages.
• Research title, the author(s)’ name and his/her scientific degree, place of work, email address and phone number should be written on the first page of the researchmanuscript.
• The scientific method should be observedboth in choosing the title of the study and producing/achieving it.Not observing the scientific method will result in the paper being rejected or dismissed by the editorial board.
• In no more than an A4 page, an abstract, in two other languages, should be written for each submission, that summarizes the central question(s) addressed, findings and conclusions of the study.
• In no more than 150 words, the researcher should provide an abstract in the original language of the research itself.
• At the beginning of the research,and in no more than 5 words, the researcher should give the key words of the research in three languages.
• If the research deals with editing and annotating a manuscript, the author must follow the scientific method applied to this field of knowledge, and enclose some pages of the manuscript, with basic information about the manuscript, its quality and where it was stored.
• For research studies written in Kurdish, the following requirements must be met:
  * Main title is written using unikurdPeshaw size 20
  * Subtitles are written using UnikurdHiwa size 13
  * Research body is written using Unikurd Goran size 13
  * Footnotes which lie in the references list are written using UniKurd Goran size 11
  
• For research studies written in Arabic, the following requirements must be met:
  * Main title is written using Times New Roman size 20
  * Subtitles are written using Times New Roman size 13
  * Research body is written using Times New Romansize 13
  * Footnotes which lie in the references list are written using Times New Romansize 11
  
• For research studies written in English, the following requirements must be met:
  * Main title is written using Times New Roman size 20
  * Subtitles are written using Times New Roman size 13
  * Research body is written using Times New Romansize 13
  * Footnotes which lie in the references list are written using Times New Romansize 11.
  
• The research must be printed in Unicode fontfollowing Harvard referencing system and as follows:
  1. For in-text citation, follow this order: surname or last name, publication year, page.
  2. In the reference list, follow this order: surname/last name, author’s first and second name ( publication year), book title, book cover, edition, place of publication.
  
• 11. The researcher must organize the page margins as follows:
  * Top: 2.5 cm
  * Bottom: 2.5 cm
  * Left: 2.5 cm
  * Right: 3 cm
  
• Once the research manuscript is approved by the peer reviewers, an acceptance letter is sent to the researcher, after which, the researcher will have no right to submit his/her manuscript to any other parties without a written consent from the editor-in-chief of the journal.
• The editorial board reserves the right to omit, rephraseor restate certainwords and expressions in the research manuscript in a manner consistent withpublication requirements of the journal, while preserving the original idea of the research.
• The order of researches in the Kurdish Academy journal is subject to the journal’s listing method, not to the importance of the research or academic title of the author.
• The researches submitted to the Journal will not be returned to the author in case of non-approval for publication.
