Abstract

Most of the sensory concepts that people use in their daily lives are metaphorically comprehensible. Therefore,
the study of the phenomenon of metaphor becomes an important tool for an adequate understanding of emotions.
Written in the context of cognitive linguistics, this paper explores sense metaphors as it sees metaphor as one of
the most important means of moving language from actual to virtual and literary use. Metaphor is commonly
used in everyday language to describe and express different emotional states.
He has a pure heart.
His head is boiling.
Human emotions are used as source fields in the metaphorical structuring of various concepts in most
languages, so the study of metaphor phenomenon becomes an important tool for an adequate understanding
of emotions. In addition to introducing metaphor in general, this study is an attempt to introduce conceptual
metaphor and interpret the phenomenon of metaphor from a new perspective and identify both the source and
purpose of interpreting metaphors.
