In new and contemporary criticism, attention to the reader, his dealings with the text, his understanding, and the interpretation of its secrets and meanings are among the most important contemporary critical issues. One of the issues that is closely related to this topic is the issue of the horizon. Expectation for the reader is a concept formulated by Yaus, which is a set of experiences, assumptions, criteria and predictions through which the reader receives and interprets the text. We can find roots for this perspective in the rhetoricians in their study of the mechanisms of reception. If the text comes in accordance with the requirements of the situation, it will cause agreement, and if it deviates from the apparent requirement, it will cause surprise and astonishment for the recipient, prompting him to discover this deviation by building a horizon so that he can realize the meaning contained in the text. There are many creative arts that have a great effect in surprising and surprising events for the reader and contradict the reader’s expectation, and the reader is surprised other than what he expected, so he sees that there is a disagreement between the horizon of the text and the horizon of his expectation, then the horizon of the reader’s expectation changes, because the reader expects one thing and the text says something else.
